For club owners and admins

How the skipper runs the club

Crew, times, blocked days, reminders, and a log of who did what. This is the office for the club — not a spreadsheet, not a second product.

Crew

Who is trusted, and who can book

Phone codes so only members book. Pending codes sit on the card — the skipper can read them out if the SMS never arrives.

Who can join

Closed club, or a skipper has to accept new people. Invite links still work. This is not the same as verifying a member.

Invite only

Nobody can create an account from the sign-in page. They need a link from a skipper.

Request access

New people ask to join. They wait on a holding page until an owner or admin accepts. They are not members yet, and not unverified crew.

Create invite

A link lasts 14 days. It counts against the seat cap until they join.

Times

Each boat has its own week

Alba half-days. Mira long cruiser days. Elvira three short hops. You set the slots once; the board fills them.

Limits

Stop one person filling the summer

Cap how many bookings each role can hold at once. Photo space and club mail sit on the plan — buy extra GB from billing if the log fills up.

  • Crew · 2
  • Moderators · 4
  • Admins · 6
  • Owner · no cap

Reminders

Mail, and a text if you want it

A confirmation when they book. A ping 24 hours before. A text if they cancel. From the company desk — not your private phone.

  • Mail when someone books
  • Mail 24 hours before they sail
  • Text when a booking is cancelled or taken over

Roles

Not everyone is skipper

Owner, admin, moderator, treasurer, crew. Each with the access they need.

  • Owner — the club, the plan, the last word.
  • Admin — boats, times, crew, and the desk.
  • Moderator — the forum, and the log of who posted.
  • Treasurer — receipts in, money out.
  • Crew — book, log, write. Not the desk.

Also on the desk

The rest of the office

Cover photo, boat portraits, mention groups, the address book, security and passwords, and billing. Same club.

  • Club cover on the overview
  • A portrait on each boat
  • Mention groups like @helm
  • Address book for events
  • Minutes before the booker’s phone is shown
  • No-show wait, then someone else can take the shared boat
  • Turn off a lost authenticator
  • Password strength and authenticator
  • The plan, from the same desk

The desk is already there

Create a club. The skipper desk opens with the board.
